Bassinet help/reccomendation?
We Were planning to use the Pack and play in the bedroom at first ( the bassinet top part)..BUT...Its too big. Its in the way and just too awkward...
We moved our Computer/desk in here and theres just no room for the P N P now.
SO..I dont feel ok with the baby being in the crib as soon as he gets home, b/c the nursery is kinda far from our room....
So any recommendations for a small bassinet? Its the only thing I can think of ( I dont want a co sleeper)
TIA!!

Re: Bassinet help/reccomendation?
We used a Winnie the pooh themed one that we borrowed from someone. I think they are all pretty much the same size....
be cautious though...I thought the bassinett was a GREAT idea...Alyson did not like sleeping in it though.
If you cna borrow one, that would be ideal since it is only temporary

We're having the same issue (was planning on using the pack and play but it's too awkward), so I am looking for recommendations as well....

This is what we got for our bedroom. It has wheels but can rock as well.

We got the co-sleeper for our bedroom, I have heard nothing but good things about them.... my sister used it and it came highly recommended from our Lamaze Instructor....

Thats the one actually thats top on my list.
Is it compact as it looks ? Is there enough room inside ?
I heard stories about babies not liking bassinets to sleep in, I wonder why that is. I hate to spend the money and it not be used...
We have SOOOOO much stuff right now!

Yes, it pretty compact. It's not very big though inside, so it's really for a short time. You also cannot use it anymore once DC can raise himself/herself up or can "turn".
ETA: We registered for the PNP too but that's too big for the bedroom/side of my bed.

It depends on the child. I heard some moms used it for only 2 weeks but other for 2-3 months and a few even longer.

Re: Bassinet help/reccomendation?
I have to say..that was the BEST thing we had gotten! We had that exact bassinet and I didnt think I was going to get much use out of it. I was so wrong! I had an unexpected c section and couldnt go upstairs to our room so we stayed downstairs in the other bedroom with her. She was in this until about 5 months..a little too long but she was such a still sleeper and wasnt rolling much..so it worked. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!! Enough room..the mobile is wonderful..it has a light show..music..lullaby..and nature sounds which Megan still loves. I detached it from the bassient and now have it in her pack and play. It was a lifesaver!!!! Get it!!!!!
