can not belive what i did this morning
I usually go down and start the car then bring the baby down. Today i took her out with me. i was parked on the street so instead of going through the drivers side i went on the curb side. i opened the passenger side door and started the car so i could get the fog off and stuff. I opened her back door and put her in. I locked her door and closed it . i locked the passnger fornt door and closed it( i have an older car no automatic lock) So now i go to the drivers door and its LOCKED!!!!!!!!! I start to freak. i call dh and i said bring me down the spare set of keys. he did and all was fine. no harm done but i feel like such an A$$. I keep thinking what if Dh had been in the shwoer and not heard the phone? I had my bag in the car with the house keys so i couldnt get in. My landlords are way so i couldnt ring their bell to get them to open my front house door either.UGHh what a mess. i just have to be more careful. please tell me someone has doen someting similar?

I am always so paranoid that I am going to do this, I have automatic locks. I always leave my door open a crack while I'm putting DS in the car. Like you said atleast you were able to open up the doors right away.

My cousin did that with her son when he was a baby. She started the car, had the baby in the carseast in the car and then got out of the car to put something in the trunk.
Shut the door & realized she needed the keys to put something in the trunk & gasped.
She had to flag down a cop to open the door. She was in tears.

Dont be so hard on your self, A few months ago I ran out to the mailbox to check the mail and forgot to take the lock off the door and locked myself out of the house. In the snow, no coat on and DH was in the shower. Alyssa was asleep thank god, But it took a good 15 minutes until DH was out of the shower and heard the bell. I was frozen and of course he started yelling at me, What if I wasnt home?? I felt like an idiot, but wait it gets better......
Yup I did it again 3 days later. The good thing is that DH was home and not in the shower, But i heard it all over again. So now I take my keys everytime i check the mail.

Yesterday afternoon I had to run some errands so I left DS with my mom since she lives next door. When I came back to my mom's house to pick him up, he was on the floor crawling and playing with his blocks. I bent down and put his jacket on and I got up, got my keys and my shopping bags and walked out....Without DS...When I walked back in my mom was like "ummm I think you forgot something"....
