bad bad back

I am 11 1/2 weeks pregnant by IVF. I have been having back pain for the past 2 1/2 months so much i am on disability. I go to physical therapy 2x week, massage therapy1-2 x week and I did go to the chiropractorbut have since stopped. Most of my dr's think it muscular but I am unable to sit or lay for long periods of time. I am so uncomfortable my husband can't sleep in our bed with me. Nothing seems to completely alleviate my pain enough for me to completely function and be happy that i am finally pregnant. I am going to a spinal surgeon on thursday where I might have to get epidural steroid injections. My ob/gyn gave me darvocet for pain but I am afraid to take it even though she said it won't hurt the baby, It's just addicting. I hope this goes away soon.This is so depressing.

I'm so sorry I know all about back pain-had the epidural injections and two surgeries. Now that I am pregnant, it's a little more uncomfortable but you'll get through it. Have they suggested massage or acupuncture? I think acupuncture especially would do wonders for you. I hope you feel better!

I can't even imagine what you are going through, sounds tough
maybe the above poster is right, maybe acupuncture will help

I tried accupuncture for a little while but it didn't really help and my accupuncturist really ****** me off one time. She is soooooooooooooo opinionated and she said the wrong thing about my husband. I guess i could try another one though!!
