I am thinking of signing up since I can never get a movie back on time to Hollywood video.
The pros are many..... are there any cons?

The only con is when you have time to watch a movie and it hasn't come in yet. Other than that I love it!

My biggest problem is that it takes them 3-4 days to log a DVD returned, but if they mail it one day, I get it the next. I've complained about the return time, but never got a response. However, the monthly fee we pay more than makes up for late fees we'd be paying at Hollywood or Blockbuster, so it's knda worth it.

I do the blockbuster one and think its better only b/c you have to option to switch movies that you've watched already to new ones at the store. I like the online movie clubs though...

I absolutely love it! If we watch a movie on the weekend and return it and the new releases come out on Tuesday, a lot of times we can get a new release right away.

If you report it "lost", they send a new one out right away.
I'm close to the Melville distribution center. If I return it, it's logged as returned the next day and I get a new one on Day 3. I opted for the "2 DVDs out" so I can always have one at home.

I just signed up so far so good. I signed up for the two DVD's out at a time for 14.99 and when I signed up they had a special for 12.99 so it worked out.

I just signed up last monday and I love it.
Danielle and I watched that movie with kate winslet and Cameron Diaz last night....Holiday or something. It was long but good.
I have Blood Diamond and the illusionist at home to watch

One con.....I actually got a bootleg copy of Borat the other day - but I reported it "Damaged" and they're sending out another one today.

I had netflix in the past and recently signed up with blockbuster one instead. I like the blockbuster one better just bc you can return in store so its like getting a movie for free. I do the 1 movie at a time and its $10 a month.

It was actually a regular DVD with the words "Borat" handwritten on it.
I guess they don't check the disks returned to them?

this is the same complaint DH and i have. other than that, we love it.

We have it and love it. When I am done watching the movie, mail it back and usually within 2 days we have the next one. It works out great for us because of no late fees. We are so bad at getting movies back on time.
We almost signed up for the Blockbuster, but, Netflix seems better..the whole point is you don't have to drive to the store.
We are happy with it.

The only con for us was that we couldn't keep up. We ended up cancelling but it is a great service if you watch a lot of movies.

I figure if I pay for the service and I have it sent to myself, I am forced to make time, which is great.
Also, I am a TV nut. There are alot of shows I'd love to watch, but not necessarily own.
I rent seasons of shows and they send you one disc at a time. Which is good for me because I can watch the show at my leisure.

YES! It was written with something like a sharpie
We got that too, and my DH said - look at this DVD ..are they bootlegging all their stuff?
But we watched it and it was fine...I think that was just how the Borat DVD came

its pretty good, the only thing i didnt like is if there is no movie in then you wait a while, but if you rent alot of movies its totally worth it
