The Leprachaun Report
The leprachaun was in full force at our house.
He was busy moving Joseph into Maddie's bed, painting their hair & nails:
The he moved into our kitchen, messing up our kitchen chairs, hanging shoes from the ceiling fan and he left behind some hats:
He was exhausted after causing so much mischief so he decided to take a nap:

But not before hiding the kids' jackets. Maddie found hers in the bathroom sink. After an exhaustive search, Joseph was found in the microwave:

We woke up at 6:30am to squeals from Joseph "My hair is green! OMG, look at my fingernails!", followed immediately by his discovery of gold (Chuck E. Cheese coins).
He woke up Maddie to try to find more mischief. Daddy asked Maddie if her hair was green. Joseph explained that her hair wasn't green, it was the reflection from his hair. It wasn't until later that he discovered he was wrong.
It was a great time. Next year, the leprachaun will be sure to have food coloring handy to make all of our food green.
They had a great time! Thanks for the suggestions!

You are TOO funny...do your kids now how lucky they are to have such a fun mom?..I Am 100% irish and I never had a visit from a leprauchan....maybe I will have to start this as a tradition with DD and any future kids.

So cute!!!! Madi has changed so much- she looks like such a big girl now....
It sounds like so much fun- I cant wait until next year when I can do that stuff with Rj- this year the only thing the leprachaun did was make our breakfast green (Green pancakes and green eggs and ham)

Oh my goodness Barb! I think that is the best thing ever. I never heard of doing anything like that. What an awesome mom you are. Your kids are stunning, green hair and all.

Great ideas!!! It sounds like your kids loved it too. That's something they'll remember always. what a great tradition to start.
eta: I might have to steal this idea when Lily is old enough to appreciate it.
