18 Week Appt??
They said this is a quick appt....do you know what happens at this one? Just trying to get prepared before I leave for my 845 apt

If you've already gotten test results and stuff..Hmmm probably will just go over what to expect from the level II sonogram..take blood pressure and assess babies heart rate..that's probably about it.

i had one at 16w and another will be at 20w, i guess the 18 is like the 16? Blood pressure, weight, pee in cup, meausre belly, set up next appt.

From what I have seen here, everyone has different experiences depending on the doctor. At 18 weeks I was sent for all my blood work - my doctor doesn't do it in the beginning. Also, since I had a previous (recent) m/c, she never did any internal exams, so each visit was "talking" along with weight, BP & urine sample. She also discussed the results of the nuchal translucency sono. Good luck!

Just got back....everything went well. I got to hear the heartbeat again, which is still amazing everytime that you hear it! I love that sound!!! And they went over the results of the blood tests they took last time...the results for Downs and Trisomeny (sp). Both were very low and I was told not to worry about them! They took more blood today for the spina bifida test and took measurements of my belly.
I go next week for a sonogram and was told they would tell me if it was a boy or girl...but we aren't finding out!!! I can't wait to see the little one again!!!

I had a sonogram at mine, but my doctor gives lots of sonograms so I'm not sure if it's something they usually do or not.
