Appointments & Sonos

I thought maybe this could help us newbies understand what's to come with appointments and such .... If we list our appointments & sono schedules.

I'll start ...

Week 4 - BFP & Dr. Appt to confirm & Pap
6w2d - Dr. Appt. & Sono
7w3d - Blood Tests (10 vials!)
9w1d - Dr. Appt & Sono
12w3d - Dr. Appt. & Sono + Nuchael Translucency/Ultrascreen test

After that I am not sure what happens ...

Re: Appointments & Sonos

Good idea! here's what I've had so far:

8 weeks: First visit: Bloodwork, Internal, Pap, Internal Sonogram.

12 weeks: Dr's visit: Listen to heart beat. (I also did the ultra screen but this was separate and not required).

That's all I've had so far Chat Icon

Re: Appointments & Sonos

Both my pg's were very different that your schedChat Icon All my appts after 11 weeks were regular-meaning heard heartbeat, measured, felt tummy, asked me questions, i asked questions etc. no undressing involved.

1st pg

7 weeks appt-sono, internal exam
11 weeks-sono and reg appt-just asked questions etc
15 weeks-heard heartbeat, reg appt
20 weeks-Big Sono and reg appt
24 weeks-REg appt-Need to make time for glucose testing 26-28 weeks pg
28 weeks-reg appt
30 weeks-reg appt
32 weeks-reg appt & Growth sono
36 weeks-reg appt & testing strep B
37 weeks-reg appt and internal
38 weeks-reg appt and internal
39 weeks reg appt and internal-had DD the next day.

2nd pg so far

7 week appt-Reg appt, pap/annual exam, internal & sono
11 weeks-Reg appt-heard heartbeat
15 weeks-Reg appt
17 weeks-big sono
19 weeks-reg appt

We opted out of all testing for both pg's-ultrascreen, AFP etc.

Went for blood tests to confirm pg at 4 weeks for both pg's, then big blood tests 7 vials, at 8 weeks, and 20 something weeks.

Re: Appointments & Sonos

My schedule with my dr's office

- LMP: 1 appt at 4wks (or so) - blood test and urine test to confirm PG

- 8 wks: 1st sono
Then Appt every 4 wks

- 12 wks: dr. visit (sono) and Ultrascreen (I did not do it!)
- 14 wks: dr. visit (sono because we could not hear the heartbeat)
- 16 wks: dr. visit and amnio (if you choose to do so)
- 20 wks: dr. visit (no sono) - hearbeat check

Week 18-22: level II sono

To come for me:
- 24 wks: dr. visit
- 28 wks: glucose test

Re: Appointments & Sonos

So far, all I have scheduled is:

TONIGHT - 5w1d - Meeting w/ Nurse Practicioner (new MD so I assume she's just doing regular bloodwork and taking a history)

8w1d - first exam and sono

Elbee - why did they take 10 vials of blood at 7wks?
