any tricks on how to get DC to burp?
she was doing good the first week but now the second i find that im having trouble. i sit her on my knee and i put her on my shoulder..sometimes she doesnt burp.....please help TIA

I usually walk her around over my shoulder so she straightens out and relaxes to get a burp. HTH

howlong does it take ? does it take a while sometimes?

Depends sometimes as soon as I stand up she burps, other times a few minutes and other times, no burp at all. Now at 3 1/2 months I can't burp her until after she finishes her whole bottle, otherwise she gets REALLy mad, my little piglet.

Someone had told me about laying the baby over your legs? Or if you do it over the shoulder, make sure the legs are straight (hard to do!). Maybe bounce a little when you sit her on your knee...that was our best bet. We sat him up, bounced a little, gently with him leaned forward a bit.

Is she breast feed? They don't always burp right away. My DD will burp sometimes 10 minutes on her own after I burp for about 20 minutes. Go figure.

2 tricks i know but they are hard to explain by writing..
if you sit her on your knee and wriggle her body back and forth slowly (sort of like the top half of her body is swaying back and forth)
and if you put her on an angle face towards the ground (like you would do if she was choking)and pat her back..hope you can get a visual!
