? regarding using a Doula....
I've thought about using a doula, as I'm not entirely sure how much help my DH will be during the delivery (he tends to get weird during high moments of stress). I'm wondering though, will a doula work with women who PLAN on using pain meds/epi? I go back and forth between totally natural childbirth and having an epi, and I'm leaning towrds the epi.
For some reason I've had it in my head that doula's are generally only used during "natural" childbirth (i.e. Bradley, no meds, etc).
Thanks for any insight.....

I think doula's are most useful for natural birthds but doulas do work with people who use epi's/pain meds as do midwives. You can have a plan but that doesn't mean things end up that way.
