Bloomingdales furniture?
I was in the RF store today and LOVED the stuff. A bit pricey, but its OK if the quality is good. Anybody shop here who could give me some feedback? How is the quality? Customer service? Also, can you look at the furniture online? I don't think Bloomingdales.com has a furniture section.
Thanks!

Re: Bloomingdales furniture?
We got our bedroom set from Bloomingdales about three years ago. We were able to get it for a decent price and everything went smoothly with delivery and set-up. As far as quality, our set is on their lower-priced end, but the quality is great and I haven't had any problems with it.

Re: Bloomingdales furniture?
I used to be a buyer there in the furniture dept. Their markup is high and I am sure its increased since I left 3 years ago. The quality depends on what you buy as they use all different vendors as do most furniture stores. They use some of the same vendors as Macy's but the bloomies mark up is higher. Do not pay full price - definitley wait for a sale.
We had mixed reviews about delivery. It's sort if a crap shoot. The warehouse in is NJ and it services Bloomingdales and Macy's furniture. They do do a thorough inspection of items when they come into the warehouse, but sometimes things happen in transport.
Good luck and FM me with any other questions.
Oh - and there is no bloomies website for furniture.

Re: Bloomingdales furniture?
they are soo expensive- i saw a leather set there for $4999 and almost the same exact one at macys for $1999
i think you should do a little shopping around before buying- to see if you can save some $$

Re: Bloomingdales furniture?
Thanks again. They are having a sale right now - 30% off everything. That's a big discount. The sales guy said they do it once a year. It runs through President's Day. I went to the Macys furniture center but liked the stuff in Bloomingdales better. I guess I'll have to decide before the sale ends.

My DH and I were just at RF this weekend and we saw a leather sofa that we really liked. It was expensive and even with the 30% off and additional 10% off if you have a Bloomie's card, the sofa came out to like $6K. But they do have a nicer selection than Macy's.
