When someone is helpful to you via fm??

do you say thank you?

i try to be helpful, but sometimes i don't always get a thank you.
it's nothing major..but to me, it's just common courtesy, you know??

i just don't get that when someone asks a questions and another kindly replies...

WHY would you not just say thank you????

sometimes i feel like i cant say thank you enough. its hard to convey your gratitude over the computer!

For all things FM chat or otherwise I try to say thank you. Some people were not raised with it though so they do not understand that it is upsetting when they don't.

I agree. I always try to but sometimes I may forget. Esp if there is alot going on and multiple fms at once, etc.

I try to remember to say thank you.

But maybe I have forgotten once or twice when I get a FM when I am caught up in a bunch of work stuff.

If I have done this to anyone (don't think I have)... I apologize.

Yes and luckily I have always gotten the smae kindness in response as well. . .

i try too. but sometimes if i get the fm and i don't have time to respond right away, i forget and never say ty.

For me, it was only once or twice I didn't recieve a ty.

i've gottne thank yous in the past - but sometimes when someone posts about a something and i fm them, i don't get a response at all and that bugs the crap out of me.

i don't know how to read, so yes, i always thank that person, even if its just a quick, "thanks a lot."

oh absolutely you should get thank yous! Even the little things in life, being polite goes a long way and it really makes a difference!
(I hope I've always said thank yous in my FMs)

depends on what it is.

Also, I guess it depends on who it is. For those whom I feel "closer" to, I guess I take for granted when they answer a question for me.

Ugh, that is the worst! This is one of my pet peeves with life in general - holding the door for someone and they completely ignore you, etc. I always say "You're WELCOME " when that happens but it's more difficult to handle over FM. Once it happens once, though, I tend not to try to help that person again since they obviously don't appreciate it anyway.
