so angry....is this common?
My DH & I have decided to put our condo on the market. (we live in boston)...so we called a local realitor to get an evaluation as to what market value is and what we should put it on the market for. Well, the appointment was for 5:30 today, and he has not shown up, or even called to say he would be late.....
MY DH & I are so angry right now...We left work early for this appointment.its not really a great start to selling our condo.

No that is not common, and is a bad sign -- that realtor has to be reliable not only for you but for your potential buyers as well!
I just sold my condo in Cambridge, MA in November. My broker was great if you are looking for another referral, although I'm not sure if she does Boston also...

oh, we will definately be looking for a new person. (we have not signed anything with this one yet) I am just SOOO angry. All we wanted was a market vale reading, and I know that is common for this area.GGGrrrr
Might I add this is the OWNER of the company!!!!!

sorry to say but if he cant be on time for his initial appointment it doesnt say much for how he does business. i would definitely call other realtors.

My sister sold her condo about a year ago, if you need a recommendation, I can most certainly ask her. They got what they were asking for after their first open house.

not common at all - if you want a good recomendation for a good seler who will tell you bluntly what it is worth - try rich haen - he works for RE/MAX and has a great siterich haen
he was our broker when we bought our condo in Boston - watch out for otis and ahearn - they were by far some of the worst brokers we found - in this market condos price right are selling so be careful of a broker that goes too high just to get the deal because it will sit

Thank you all for your thoughts! I truely appreciate it. The condo market in boston is so crazy right now, especially where I am in southie....
Its nice to see some boston people on this board..I am new, and I thought I would be the only one!
