The SafeSeat has a higher weight limit to it.....and I believe the Snugride gets a better rating. And let me tell you, my ds is 18 pounds, and I'm finding the carrier too heavy to carry around much anymore. I love my snugride.

i love my snugride too, DD was just in it until a month ago, it was too heavy for me to lug around since DD is 17.5 lbs. DD didn't like to be in it anymore either.
