I'd like a gradual one.

I just bought the jergen's one. It had a little sticker on it that said the new formula doesn't smell.

wrong-o.

Any suggestions?

I can't find one either. I did the same thing -- bought it because of the sticker that says it's odorless --- I'm actually going to call and complain about it to get my money back.

I used Sally Hansen for the first time 2 days ago and didn't notice a smell. I know a lot of people here recommended it, maybe they could agree/disagree with me because I wasn't really paying attention.

That's more of a leg makeup/airbrush tan though.
I think she was referring to the whole body lotions and creams that build a tan naturally over time- rather than instantly.
I know the Sally doesn't smell but it's not a self tanner and that is probably why.

I had no idea there was a difference! Chat Icon Thank you for explaining it to me. I think I'd prefer this anyway, I'm too much of a control freak. Chat Icon

I like it better for my legs too because self tanners just color the imperfections while the Sally stuff HIDES them. And trust me- I have a lot to hide on my legs!

That seals the deal for me. I asked my husband if he noticed anything different with my legs and a unobservant as he usually is, he said "You look like you have less freckles"

It's not what I was going for, but I do want to hide the varicose/spider veins and Sally does this pretty well, even the lightest color they have. I'm a fan. Chat Icon

Does the Sally Hansen spray-on last for a while, or does it come off as soon as you shower?

I found this and LOVE it. Yes it smells but it's a coconut/brown sugar smell. The color is great that I've gotten so far and it's natural looking...no orange. I've only been using it for 2wks now.

It is water resistant.
I notice that if I go take a shower and don't really scrub my legs with a washcloth and soap, it stays on.
But techincally it really doesn't last more than a day.

Banana Boat Summer Color has a smell but it isn't at all unpleasant. I've yet to find a 100% unscented tanner.

Same here. I started using the new one a couple of weeks ago, I find the smell much better than in the past.
