Does anyone have wainscoting in their full bath?
A 5 x 8 preferred.
I was wondering if I could do tile floor, white wainscoting, then tile in the tub/shower area. Also, I'd like to tile the shower ceiling too... Yay or nay on that?
The tile floor would be the wood-look ceramic, the tile in the shower would be neutral (tan-ish) subway tiles. Vanity is white.
Is that too much going on?

We are in the process of doing this right now. Bathroom should be completely done in another day or so. It has made the bathroom look much bigger! I LOVE the wainscot! We did tan tiles in a subway pattern in the tub area, we decided to not tile the ceiling.
ETA: this bathroom is 6 x 11

The vanity that we picked out has the below hardware so I figured the wainscoting would just fit.
I cannot wait to see your pics!! Did you break up the tile in the shower area with glass tiles or anything?

This is my inspiration but the only thing I'm considering is the wainscoting 3/4 of the way up the wall...
The floor would be the wood-look ceramic, and the shower area would be tan subway tiles.
The vanity is solid for storage.

We have it - with paint to the ceiling and then tile in stall shower and bath from floor to ceiling

The house we are moving into has it. The shower area is a shower/tub insert, nothing fancy though.

I have in the powder room (pics in album). Total height is 48", chocolate brown paint above beadboard and wood floor. Love the beadboard but it does make the room feel smaller.

A friend use to have this in their 1st house and it look really nice.
I don't think it would be to much. But I love wainscotting so I would have no problem doing it.

I have photos of our bathroom with wainscoting in my album - white with yellow walls, ivory white subway tile shower and white vanity with brown wood accents in the room.

DH is a builder in the hamptons & wainscotting/wall panels in bathrooms are the norm. Here are a few pics of bathrooms in varies stages & different sizes in houses he has built. I don't have many pictures of the shower tile, but its almost always white subway with marble accents.
