Beach/pool shoes
What are your favorite type or brand shoes for beach, pool, water play? I’m on the fence between jellies, natives, crocs, flip flops. I just know my dd doesn’t like the old school pool shoes. Tia!

I like the iplay sock-like ones from buybuy baby. We also liked Nike Sunray protect. DD1 really liked a mesh pair by Adidas last year. I bought DD1 regular flip flops this year to try and something from Costco.

Re: Beach/pool shoes
i was against crocs for sooooo long lol I just don't love the looks of them. Anyway I got the childrens place ones fro a few years. My oldest doesn't fit in them anymore, and the bigger ones I hated. anyway she now swims competivitly and crocs are the easiest. they dry fast, easy on off, and hold up well. They have cuter designs now lol. I got her fuzzy ones for the winter. I got stride right ones form target for my son( that croc material)
flip flops don't stay on well, they can't walk in them right, and so open if they fall their toes will get scraped
jekllies get so hot and sticky

Beach/pool shoes
To wear IN the pool? Lands End sells water shoes that hold up great, and look stylish. Crocs, flip flops, etc. would fall off in the pool. To wear TO the beach and pool, flip flops are the go to for us.
Also, if you do jellies, be careful with sunscreen. My daughter had some on when she was little. I put sunblock on her, and there was some sort of weird reaction with the jellies, the sunblock and her feet. She had huge burns all over the spots where the jellies were touching.

I like crocs for water stuff and even just playing in the yard. My kids are comfortable in them, they dry quickly, rinse easily, etc. I got dd shoes fron target last year that were similar to natives and she didn't really wear them much. This year we'll just go back to crocs.
I did get my 3yo old navy flip flops last week and she loves them. However, I cringe every time she runs in them thinking she's going to lose a toe or something. I'm sure the bottoms will get dirty over time and they're no good for climbing swing sets and stuff. At least they were cheap lol.

Re: Beach/pool shoes
We had crocs until DD tripped in them and ended up getting stitches.
Now we have keens for all kids. A bit tougher to put on, but they hold up well and we wear them through the year to swim class.

Do they also have sneaker sandals of some sort, or are the amphibious keens their everyday summer shoe as well?
