daylight savings time- early wake ups

Has daylight savings screwed up your toddlers wake up time?

Since we set the clocks back an hour my son has been up wide awake an hour early each day.

I tried even pushing his bed time later, and still wakes up at 5 am rather than the usual 6 or 6:30 am

Am I alone?
Need advice, this mommy is tired

We have a motion sensor in our son's room that makes his light turn on. If it is before 6 am, the light turns a very faint, soft blue color. After 6 am, it turns green if he moves. He knows he is not allowed to get up until the light is green. My DS is the same age as yours and has responded VERY well to this. So well, that on weekends, we set it to 7 am and he doesn't make a peep until his green light goes off.

There was something similair on amazon, and my son figured how to cheat it. lol

It was a train, if light was red he had to stay in bed, green he was able to come out
wellllll he was able to make it yellow

great idea though!

We have motion sensors hooked up to a smart home hub. When he moves for longer than 30 seconds, it turns on. My husband set it up. I am not sure of specifics. The actual light is a smart light, which is also set up to the hub.

The later they go to bed, the earlier they wake up lol. My kids are the same way. It eventually cathes up to them and they sleep a little later.
