DIY(ish) christmas gifts... in "batches"

in my family, we give gifts to the kids and then you give a "household" gift to the grown ups; plus we have a white elephant game for everyone.

in SO's family, we give gifts to the kids and that's it... they're a small family.

i am working on the gifts for the kids in my family... i really try to make them personal.

ok, so here's my question: what do you think of these gifts?

for the household gifts on my side... when a craft project went sideways, i found myself with a truckload of beige canvas material. recently, california outlawed most single-use plastic bags. so... i thought i'd make each household a canvas shopping bag/tote. i'll half fill each bag with baked goods (not all sweet stuff).

for SO's kids... i went back to couponing earlier this summer. his kids always ask for something practical... supermarket gift cards, cash to pay bills. they are all in their 20s and live with their boyfriend/girlfriend. i thought about putting together a gift basket with items i get from my coupon trips... toothpaste, deodorant, mouthwash, shampoo, makeup, snack foods, etc. as much stuff as i can fit in the baskets.
