Buying something with PayPal?
I saw something on Poshmark that I was interested in buying. I made the seller and offer and she said she couldn't go that low because of the percentage that Poshmark takes. She then messaged me to see if I would be interested in going through PayPal to buy the item. It seems like PP offers protections, in case something goes wrong - but is that enough? Anyone ever do this before? Anything I need to know about doing this? Any better way to do it? (I hardly ever use PP, so not really familiar with it)

I've been using PayPal for years. It's as secure as any credit card company (after the Target, and Equifax hacks, I never say a site is "secure" any more....).
It's used by a lot of sites, and it keeps your credit card info away from smaller vendors, as they only get your PP payments, and not your account info.

except for amazon, i buy everything through paypal and love it. the only issue i've ever had was when i bought something and didn't realize i had purchased a subscription. i freaked out. paypal refunded me my money and un-subscribed me... so they were amazing even when we both realized i was the one who had made an error, not them.

I use PayPal all the time too. I can't remember the details but I had an issue once too and they resolved it. You can actually use PayPal at the stores now too. I've seen it on the credit card machines. I haven't tried it there yet.

I have had no problems with paypal; many websites even have paypal payments as an option.
I would just have her send you an invoice and you should be all set

I use paypal all the time but make sure you don't pay her using friends and family because then you will not get reimbursed if something does happen.

As long as you have her send you an invoice and not “request funds from family” everyone will be protected.
