The 6qt is on sale today on amazon for $69. Is it worth it?

I think it really depends on your needs and the type of cook you are. I've gone back and forth with getting one and ultimately, I've decided to pass at this time. I already have a Crock-Pot, a rice steamer, and even a yogurt maker. I feel like the Instant Pot is slightly redundant.
Also, for the way I like to cook, I don't think it really suits my needs. For someone who doesn't like complicated, needs a meal on the table fast, and is generally pressed for time in the kitchen then I think it could be a good investment.
As aside, that's a pretty good sale price!

It's great price. I think it's the lowest I have seen except when kohl's has it on sale. If you have a kohl's card, you may find it cheaper with the coupons and cash back. I bought one couple of weeks ago and so far have made couple of things. I don't cook with/use tomato sauce, cheese, cream in my recipes and don't bake. For protein, we eat mostly chicken and fish so I don't have the need to make meats that cook for for a long time. When I cook at home, it's mostly vegetarian food and the things I can make in IP are limited. I already have a stove top pressure cooker and a rice cooker. So for me it didn't change my life. I bought it because I want to start making bone broth and homemade stock. I also use it for yogurt. I made yogurt before I got instant pot by boiling milk on the stove top or in the microwave. I like that with IP, I can set the time and don't have to manually turn it off when it's done. There are many IP groups on Facebook and it has a cult following. There are people that actually get upset if you tell them you don't find it that useful. I am hoping to improve my cooking skills and expand my recipe collection so I can use it more.

I'm thinking about the 3 quart one - it's only DH and me so a 6 quart would be too big.
My mom's stove top pressure cooker scared the bejesus out of me, but it made some darn good meals quickly.

I am ALWAYS pressed for time. We have 8 month old twins and work mostly opposite schedules. We cook on sundays for the week and if we run out of what we made we just eat scrambled eggs etc because we have ZERO time!

Hmmn, got me thinking now. I do like leftovers, and if I make something big like a pot roast, some of it goes in the freezer.
It's just that I'm pressed for space - I have a galley kitchen in a co-op. My slow cooker is up in the attic, don't have the storage or counter space for it and it kind of lost it's appeal.

I have one. It sat for two months before I opened it up and used it.
I have made like 5 things in it.
The point is not for things to cook quicker (although it can do that depending on what you are making) but it allows you to not have to babysit dinner. For me, I can't decide if it's worth it or if I just prefer other methods of cooking. The time it takes to reach pressure, cook and release can sometimes be longer than the traditional method of cooking. It jut means you can do something else while that's happening.
I like it for making shredded chicken, stock and rice. Part of the appeal is being able to put a frozen pot roast and have dinner in like 90 minutes. But I don't have that kind of time regardless - I need dinner quick, and would prefer my crockpot to have something ready for when I get home.
People bake in it, make spaghetti in it, do all kinds of stuff with it. But I can't quite make it work for the recipes I like and the time I have. I don't make dozens of hardboiled eggs or care to make a cheesecake in it or ribs in it when you still have to take it out and broil it after.
Maybe I need to try it more but I'm just not in love with it yet. Some people think you can cook anything and everything in it but I'm not one of those people.

I have an electric pressure cooker and NEVER use it. When it was time to replace my slow cooker, I opted for the cuisinart 3-in-1 over the instant pot, and I love it! I love that I can brown IN my slow cooker. You can do the same thing with the instant pot but it's deeper and so there's less surface area on the bottom. If I knew I'd never really do pressure cooking, for me, the dimensions of the cuisinart 3-in1 slow cooker are more appealing than the instant pot.
