Is there anywhere we can donate a very large bag of dog food that has been opened?
Our dog passed away yesterday  And we have a large (like Costco-sized) bag of dog food that was recently opened so most of it is left. Is there any shelter or place that would take it as a donation? Would hate to see it go to waste, but understand why maybe no one would want it since it's open.

Not sure where you live but I'd call your local shelter.

I know shelters did in the past. I would give a few of them a call, I'm sure someone will take it.

Try your town animal shelter. I believe the Guide Dog Foundation will take open bags of food-they are in Smithtown

I am so sorry for your loss. We lost our doggie less than a month ago.
I tried my 3 local animal shelters and they all told me they do not accept open bags of dog food. If you find some place, let me know because I still have the container and food.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Are you on any Dog FB pages? There are many rescues on there that might take it.
Try Petco, Pet Supplies Plus, etc, see if they will take it back.

I'm so sorry about your dog. Losing a pet is just horrible, I know.
Do you have any friends or family with a dog who might be able to use it if you can't find a place that will take it?

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. Littler Shelter will take it. We donate to them all the time, but after one of our dogs passed they took a huge bag of food that was just opened and all his meds that he didn't finish.
