Is there anywhere local (Suffolk) that is taking hurricane donations?
I'm looking for some place to donate new goods...such as diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene products, bug spray, etc. Please let me know if you know of any organizations collecting.

Superior Ice Rink in Kings Park and Dix Hills Fire Dept both were, but I'm not sure if they still are. You could call them to see

as nice as it is to donate, monetary donations are best. All these items being bought and sent go to waste. Find a good organization and donate

It was donations raised through another non profit organization that can not raise money. If I can't find someplace to take them, I will drop them at the food pantry.

I know what you meant. I already have a pile of new items that I need to donate and I am looking for an organization that is collecting goods.

If you're still looking, I just read on FB that the Nissan dealer in Smithtown is collecting donations for Puerto Rico.

Thank you to those that reached out and gave me some direction. I was able to drop off a truck full of supplies going down on an 18 wheeler.

Not all items. If you send a heavy wool sweater - yeah, that will go to waste but, basic things like toiletries and water are needed.
I have issues donating to certain agencies since the people in need receive such a small portion of the actual donation so I would rather send items that they need instead.
