anyone buy tickets? I was thinking of my parents and a gift, but I cant tell if the seat options are good.

I have bought concert tix from Groupon in the past, but for shows at Jones Beach. How it worked for me was you purchased tickets, but didn't select your seats. Groupon selects the seats for you and let's you know a few days before the event where your seats are located. We always had good seats, but I am thinking Jones Beach is smaller than NYCB Coliseum (or whatever it is called now) so I can't speak to how the seats would be there.
