moving out of state
I was offered a transfer through my company to our corporate office. It would mean moving to TX. I'm single and I have no children. I do not know anyone in Texas.
Is it irrational to not want to take it because I'm scared of being alone? I have recurrent major depressive disorder. I have not had an episode in about a year. The last episode I had was particuarly bad and lasted for about 17 months. I worry that being alone will cause me to have another episode and that itll be worse if I'm alone. Here I have friends that will force me to participate in life.

I think you answered your own question. You need to do what is best for your own health. No job is worth scarifying that.

Not irrational at all. I think it's a perfectly legit reason.
