no pictures to share ... but awesome weekend

on my most recent birthday (cough, cough 44) i decided that i will seriously work on doing/trying new things.

SO and i like to do very different things and i always shy away from a lot of it. so, i decided to stop saying no.

a few weeks ago, we took the boat to laughlin (colorado river and lake mead). i hauled the boat, i drove the boat... and even though i really don't know how to swim, i jumped off a cliff into the lake.

this weekend, we took the boat back out... this is our last trip for the summer. this time, i drove the boat again. SO bought swimming flippers and goggles. i put on my life vest, and i SWAM across the entire width of the cove where we spent the weekend. i was in the middle of lake mead!!!! me!

i know they're minor things in the scope of life, but they have big really big deals for me.

next, we're planning a road trip up and down Pacific Coast Highway!!

i am going to rock this getting older business!!
