Cooking question - salmon
Does overcooked salmon look really pale? Not just the white stuff that's sometimes on top (which I believe is protein that becomes while from cooking) but the actual meat.
I baked a piece of salmon and it came out nearly white - VERY light pink. I've never seen this color salmon before. It was fresh, smelled fine when raw (i.e. no smell) and my DH said it tasted fine but was overcooked. (I only tasted a small piece and it tasted fine). it was the normal pink salmon color when raw.
Just curious if this is normal? It's the second time I've had it happen recently.
Thanks!

Yes. I prefer it this way, I hate undercooked salmon!

Ok thank you! I also prefer it cooked more. I've just never had it come out so light colored before recently.
