Going to take DD soon. What do I need to know? We're going to do breakfast with Elmo. I see there's a parade do you just go to the parade or do you need separate tickets? There's also Elmo the musical is that worth the extra $$? What's the restaurant situation like for lunch? Should we get a cabana?

Also need a hotel rec. Sorry guys, I'm clueless!

ETA what about Abby's magic queue? I hate lines so I should prob get that.

Shows and parade are all included in admission. No extra cost.

Breakfast with Elmo is good to meet the characters. Food not so much.

Wait on the Abby queue thing. You may not bees it. You can download the app and if it's bad then you can add it on.

Oh and hotel spring hill suites. It's practically part of sesame. Nice. Clean. And close! You can walk.

Are you going on a weekend or weekday? During the week I wouldn't bother with abby's queue or a cabana but it would be well worth it on a weekend. It's like two different parks during the week vs a Saturday.

This is our 3rd year with season passes. There are usually 2 parade times, 3:00 and 7:00, unless you go on a night when they're having the electric parade (start time is 9:00 right now).

For lunch, you can eat at Cookie's Cafe or Elmo's Eatery if you want to eat indoors with ac. There are some outdoor places to grab something as well. The food is not great.

Personally, I would not waste $ on a cabana. The only ones that have a real benefit are the ultimate cabanas because you have a private sprinkler/pool type area that's only usable by people in one of the 4 ultimate cabanas. Otherwise, a locker rental is really all you need.

As for Abby's Magic Queue, the regular one only allows you to skip the line once at each ride listed. The Ultimate Magic Queue allows you unlimited access all day long. if you want to use it for water rides, there's an add-on fee. We only go on weekdays, so we have never purchased any of them.

There are 3 shows that are performed multiple times throughout the day. Let's Play Together is the cutest of the shows. Elmo the Musical is air conditioned. The Magic of Art makes DH and me want to pull out our eyebrow hairs one at a time.

Re: Sesame Place

We just got back yesterday. For the weekday, you didn't need Abby's magic queue. There were no lines. It did get super hot in the afternoon and it was nice going on the water rides. I thought the food was pretty bad. We had a cabana because the people I was with got it, but personally I don't think it's worth it. The lockers were not cheap, $20 for a small, $25 for a large. We went to 2 of the shows, and the girls who were 3 both loved them, and the parade. My granddaughter and niece both had a great time. Have fun!

Yes- this is a big perk. It's still fairly new.

There is also a Courtyard Marriott and Residence Inn almost next door- less than 5 minutes away. Resident Inn had included breakfast last time I was there, and I think the suite is good for families.

The Sheraton is decent too. DH's family lives in the area so I know a lot about the hotels. Chat Icon

Do I need a locker or can I just change and put my stuff in my stroller? We plan on doing the dry rides first thing in the morning then water rides in the afternoon. Im going with 3 other adults and 4 kids. We will have 2 double strollers and the kids are 5, 4 and two 3 year olds. Im not sure what water rides they will be into so Im wondering if a locker is necessary.

A lot of people seem to just stay in their bathing suits all day. You might want a locker for your phone, cash and credit card. I just use a waterproof phone pouch, but I'm only in the children's wading/sprinkler areas. I don't go on the waterslides.
