Block party

So we are throwing a block party/cake for my son's first birthday. There are a bunch of kid activities water slide..dunk tank..face painting..etc.

Do you think I should make up a table under our tent with kid activities related to the theme mickey mouse? Coloring..playdoh..etc. to keep kids busy as well? What else? Should I do a blowup pool in front of the house too? What about buy a bounce house?

It sounds like there's a lot of stuff already, but a little table with mickey stuff wouldn't hurt. Now the block party is JUST for your son's birthday or is it just a block party and you're also celebrating your son's birthday? If it's just a regular block party, I'd be prepared for other neighborhood kids to join in on the mickey stuff if you set it up in front of the house.

I would have some activities set up at your house too for the kids.

Whatever you do I would probably make sure its more on your lawn and away from everythign else if you don't want others not part of your party not particpate in it.

I only say this because typically at block parties different activities that are done for the block can be at different house on the block so if you don't want confusion and "strangers" doing stuff set out for your party then I would try to make sure its put more on your lawn and away from other activities.
