What do you feed 8 month old

What was your kid eating by 8 months? We've been doing fresh fruits and veggies but in the blender. I've been making it a little chunkier for texture. She loves yogurt I skipped right over cereals. Need some ideas. Also what veggies or fruits are ok to cut up in tiny pieces at this age? I'm so scared of her choking.

Everything. I have pics of her chowing down on meatballs at my moms birthday when she was 8 months. Shredded chicken breast, cut up penne with sauce, mac n cheese, all veggies and fruits. She was a better eater back then. Now at 1.5 she's a pain!

At 8 months- everything. She had every kind of fruit, veggies cooked until they were soft, all kinds of meats, pasta, she even tried peanut butter and loved it.

The only time I had a scare was with apples. I cut them up very small, but she grabbed a bunch at once and shoved them in her mouth and choked. I held her over my arm and slapped her on the back and it all came flying out, but it was a scary moment. I won't lie, I didn't give her apples again until recently and she's almost 15 months. Now she's got 11 teeth and chews like a cow, so I'm not worried.

Everything basically. I avoid hard stuff like apples and cucumbers and steak, but everything. Ds is 8.5 mo old.

At that age my kids were almost entirely off purees. Hamburger, meatballs, chicken, pulled pork, fish, fruits, veggies, yogurt, cheese, pasta, cheerios, waffles, pancakes, whole wheat toast with fruit preserves. Everything was cut up small.

I'm way behind! My DS is 8 months and were on purees and puffs. I'm so paranoid about choking.

Me too. My DD is 8.5 months and although I've been trying to slowly introduce real food, my DH is adamant that she's too young and going to choke.

We just had DD's 9 month check up and the doctor said she can eat everything we eat now except for any nuts or honey. I recently started giving her cut up pasta. I'm going to try meatballs for the first time tonight. I think it's ok as long as the food is soft and cut up into really small pieces. My DD still doesn't have any teeth.

I was the same. I was paranoid about choking too. And she had no teeth until well after a year.
And it was more of a pain in the ass to give her table foods because I'd have to cook for her specifically. DH and I would eat late and we would eat a lot of shit that you shouldn't be giving a baby LOL
Plus she would really refuse most stuff. So I stuck with purees and stuff for a long time.
Really out of laziness as well
I know it's the thing to do now to be having them eat a steak at 7 months, but I was in the minority.

Re: What do you feed 8 month old

My de is turning 1 on Friday and he's only had puffs, cheerios, and pasta. He also likes yogurt. So don't feel too bad. My older two are high maintenance eaters so I just can't handle another right now. We'll get there eventually.
