Pre-K choices near East Williston/Williston Park
So, hubby and I are in the process of purchasing a home on the East Williston/Williston Park border. Our daughter is only 2 and goes to an in-home daycare, but I'm just trying to think ahead....
Just realized that EWSD (like many school districts on the island) don't offer any sort of universal Pre-K.....not even part-time. Awesome. They must think that everyone in the EWSD has beaucoup $$$ and can afford private pay full-time preschool without any affect on their quality of life. Hubby and I certainly don't fall into that big $$ category, but what are you gonna do....
Anyhoo.....any suggestions for quality pre-K in that area. Full-day available. Preferably within 1-2 miles of EW/WP (or busing service)? I see a lot of happy faces coming out of Romper Room on Hillside Ave but don't really know much about it. I'm still hoping the island powers that be will be more on board with UPK in 2 years, but I'm not holding my breath.

I would probably use St Aidan's. They have a full day pre-k. Not sure about after care, but they might have something.

Thanks. I have heard good things about St Aidens. You don't have to be Catholic, do you? I actually wouldn't need after-care thankfully - I can get back home from work by close to 3pm

For most Catholic schools, you don't have to be Catholic, but they do teach religion and pray. Not sure if they go to mass once a month (I know Kindergarten usually does). What religion class includes in pre-k, you would have to ask the school.
