Need Gift Ideas for a 40th Birthday
Need a good gift idea for a friends 40th birthday-- in the $100-$150 range all in.
Open to all ideas except for experiences/gift certificates. I would like to get her something material that she could have for years to come.
Any ideas?

A nice bag or wallet?
Some sort of jewelry? Or a high-end accessory, like a scarf?
That would be my go-to, if you are avoiding "experience" gifts, like a spa gift certificate.
But I guess it depends on the person. If you know she has a specific hobby or interest (e.g., cooking or sports or something along those lines), you could maybe get something related to that.

Depending on how close you are - my cousin made me a photo book of the two of us thru the years. One of my favorite gifts ever. Probably didn't cost in the range you want to spend but you could combine that with something else.

My friend loves TB so I got her a nice TB band bracelet from Bloomingdales.
Spa GC along with lotions, bath salt, etc
Nordstrom GC
wallet
Bag
sunglasses
Ulta or Sephora GC with lotions, makeup bag, etc

In the past I would browse all the Jewelry sites; Nordstrom is usually my go to.
And its usually a bracelet or a necklace with a pretty pendant is my go to.
Include the gift receipt; and be done. 
ETA: I would hate a fitbit or anything of the sort for my Birthday.

Mark and Graham actually has a lot of nice monogrammed bags and jewelry in that price range. And for my birthday someone got me a monogrammed necklace from stella and dot that I love!
