Closest animal farm to Nassau County
DD asked if we could go to a farm today. What's the closest farm to Nassau County? I know there is harbes but just wondering if there is anything closer? TIA!

White Post would be closer than Harbes.
There is also the Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank I believe.

The Yaphank one is cute...it's an actual "farm" atmosphere, not caged animals.

Closest animal farm to Nassau County
Has anyone ever gone to Queens County Farm? We went there on a field trip, but looking at the website it looks like it's open to the public during the week. Just wondering if it's packed all the time with school/camp groups.

I have been here. It's very small. They have only a handful of animals. For an added fee you can go into the petting area section, where most of the animals are concentrated. This section is very small as well. It's not a bad farm to go to if you want to stay in Queens.

Closest animal farm to Nassau County
Depending on the age of your DD and if you are looking for just a small farm without any activities look at the Lewis Oliver farm in Northport. It's adorable, but not a whole day activity, maybe an hour. You can head over to Northport Village afterwards though.
