yes we have and I did not feel like it was worth it at all... I don't remember getting a locker - we just kept our stuff in the cabana.

IMO - the park isn't big enough to really need to rent one.

Not worth it, we got a table (free) at the water park area no problem and it was closer to the splash area than the cabanas. We rented a locker to put wallets and stuff in when we were in water park area and used stroller to keep the rest of our stuff in when we were walking around rest of the park.

Re: Dutch wonderland - cabanas ?

And since you asked about food, the food in Dutch Wonderland is perhaps the worst food I have ever encountered in my life.
I am so not picky, I'd be happy to eat McDonald's daily, but this stuff is not even edible. Like picture boiling a burger. Like that.
Make other arrangements for food when you go.

Thanks - I know the price is ridiculous but we aren't paying for it. So is there any value in it if its free?

To be honest - not really. The cabanas are off to the side of the water area and the park is small enough that we didn't really need a "rest place" like some other parks. We never even used it because we grabbed food as we were walking around and they have one big cafeteria like building with food and a lot of tables - we go in there to eat bc it has ac. I ended up not even leaving my stuff at the cabana bc it was kinda out of the way anyway.

I agree. You will only be in it when you are using the water park. When we do the dry rides we stay in the main park. You can get food in the main park too but I wouldn't. Subway is still there yes. Not sure about Nathan's. The cafeteria and "restaurant" are horrific so stick with the chains if you can.
If you want a locker to hold valuables or stuff you don't want to lug around, you can rent one in the main park area as well.
The cabanas are farther from the spray area and slides- I prefer a seat closer so I can see DD better.

We rented one a couple years ago and that time it was great. We went with 3 families (6 kids all together), we had brought in snacks (fruit, yogurt, etc) and was able to put everything in the fridge. We left all our stuff there while we were on the rides and would come and go. We didn't use the food service because it was a long wait.

Rented again last year and we didn't use it. We are going again in a couple weeks and I don't plan on renting one again.

Ok - we plan on being in the water area for a few hours (we have 2 day pass and are doing the rides in the park the day before). My kids are little and love the spray water type stuff so they will definitely want to be in there a while. We usually are with the kids in the spray area so wanted a place to leave our stroller/towels etc. I hate putting my stuff at a table and then we aren't there so someone else cant use it. And want to make sure we have a table when we are ready to eat so thought the cabana would be the perfect idea for this. We'll probably eat lunch while still in the water area then play there some more after lunch.

Sorry to hijack this post, but what do you/the kids wear at DW? Should we be in bathing suits?

We do dry rides in the morning so DD wears her bathing suit (preferable a 2 piece for ease of bathroom breaks!) under her clothes.

We then eat lunch and go to the water park where she just removes her clothes and is ready to go. Don't forget to bring dry underwear to change into after they are done in the water area.

Also- bring your own towels! They don't' have them there and the first year we didn't think of it and had no towels. Not fun!

ETA- I wear my bathing suit under my clothes as well and bring underwear as well

Another hijack, lol. How private are the cabanas? Is it someplace you would use for changing? Or, is it just a place to leave your stuff and eat?

They are open, no doors.
You'd have to change in the locker rooms.
It's pretty much a tiki like roof over a table and chairs.
