MNSSHP worth the cost?
I was all set on doing this until we saw the cost. I'm still willing to splurge on it but DH is not into it. We were planning on doing 4 days worth of park hopper tickets during our trip and won't have any "down days" aside from arrival (will do Disney Springs in the evening) and the day we leave, might just hit the pool in the am.
I know we could buy the tickets to the party and just not do a park until 4pm that day but that seems like a waste of time to me since we're really not there that long.
I've been to Disney around Halloween before and have seen the decorations but never been to MNSSHP. If you've been, do you think it's worth the $$? Kids will be 6,4 and 1.

We're skipping it until the kids get older. They'll be 2 and 4 on this trip.

MNSSHP worth the cost?
we'll be there the end of august, just when the MNSSHP is starting. we're skipping it, just because our kids are 6 and 3, and i just don't know if they'll hang that late to make it worth the money. instead, we're spending money to pt them in the kid's club one night while DH and i go out to dinner HAHA BUT in november, we're doing a cruise out of Port canaveral. so we might do the christmas party the night we get back from the cruise. you can go into MK starting at 4 with a party ticket (without having to buy a full day admission ticket) so we'll get some time in MK and see the christmas stuff....

It depends on your kids.
We loved it... but mine stay up late. Last we went, they were 3&4... since then we had a thirds and traveled at different times of year due to school.
On party days, they close the park to non party ticket holders early... BUT party ticket holders can come in at 3.
In my experience, Crowds start to get lighter in the evening and lines for rides disappear. We like to do rides while everyone is trick or treating or doing special character meets.
Lots of fun to see everyone dressed up and all the parades. Many adults really went all out!
We have done this as our only day at Disney for a few trips. We would go to pool in the AM, lunch, nap and then go until midnight.
It's perfect except if it rains! Last time we went, it POURED and everyone disappeared. Great having park empty, but no fun getting costumes all wet despite ponchos.

MNSSHP worth the cost?
We loved it, but when we went a couple of years ago it was jam packed!!!! And it rained half the night which stunk. We do like the party though, we have been several times over the years.

MNSSHP worth the cost?
We love it. We have tickets for Nov 1. It will be our 4th MNSSHP party, and DD isn't even going this trip.

I felt it was.
We went last year in early October and the MK was so crowded during the day, we said next time we'll skip regular days at the MK and just do the Halloween Party.

You should do it, the parties are fun. How long are you staying? You will still have 3 other hopper days right? I like to book the party in the middle of the trip bc it's a nice break and its basically still a full day at MK since the park is open until midnight so I don't think it's wasted time. Instead of doing a hopper that day, u can just use your party ticket and enter Mk at 4pm. Use the first part of the day to swim or go to Disney springs. The party ticket is cheaper than the hopper.

Thanks for the input! The more I'm thinking about it, I think we might just buy the tickets as mentioned above and do something else with the first half of the day. I think my oldest two will love it and my little one won't complain either way.

The MNSSHP is SOOOOOOO worth it IMO!! We LOVED it!! We were there actually on Halloween which was a bit too crowded but the party is SO much fun. At the time my kids were 1.5 and 6 years old. They loved the trick or treating, the Halloween parade is AWESOME, and the whole feel of the park during the party is pretty cool. It has a creepy but not scary vibe. I would do it again in a heartbeat, I think it was worth the money to do at least once. We had a GREAT night! And by 9:30'ish the park clears out A LOT and you can basically walk right on to most rides. Can't beat that!
ETA - My kids hung in there until ALMOST the end which was around midnight.
