Cheeks hurting when sick?
Any ideas what this is about? Every time dd gets sick she complains about her cheeks when she tries to eat. I don't see anything noticeable in her mouth and it lingers for a day or two beyond any other symptoms. I feel so bad bc she feels fine but barely eats bc she ends up in tears.

Idk, its definitely her cheeks and not her throat so doesn't seem like it. I always forget you bring it up to the doctor.

Sometimes pain can be referred from one area to another and when my glands are swollen I almost feel it in my lower jaw area so maybe it could be. The fact that it's when she is sick is what made me think of the glands.

So I did some reading and it sounds like swollen salivary glands due to a virus. The symptoms and timing definitely fit. Doesn't seem concerning but I'll bring it up to the ped at any upcoming visit.

Cheeks hurting when sick?
Could it be her tounge. The sides of my tounge hurt when I'm getting sick. Mostly strep. It's weird. They feel swollen
