Disney cruise/Tortola
Not feeling any of the excursions (through Disney or private) that are do-able with 2 little ones... do you think we'd regret it if we just wander around the port for a very little bit, and then enjoy an empty ship? We have meet & greets and other reservations every other day - I'm thinking down time will be nice. And we will be doing beaches at the other 2 ports... or will I regret not "seeing" Tortola?

Tortola isn't that big. And definitely not my favorite place. I think when I went on a sailing trip We stayed 1-2 hrs maybe if even that.
Unless that have an excursion to the Baths....not on Tortola so it would be a ferry or boat ride but the Baths are beautiful.

Re: Disney cruise/Tortola
I've been to Tortola on a cruise, it was fine, but nothing great for kids and you aren't missing much if you stay on the ship. I personally LOVE port days on the ship where we stayed on board. So empty and like you have the place to yourself. I'd do it.

We did a Disney Cruise and stayed on board one port day and it was fantastic and well worth it.

I would definitely stay on board and take advantage of the Aqua Duck if you are on the Dream/Fantasy. That line gets LONG!

Re: Disney cruise/Tortola
You definitely want to stay on board one day and enjoy the ship. You can walk around the ship and try out the pools (although they aren't great) but at least they'll be less crowded. My youngest and I stayed on board at a port while my DH and DS1 went out on an excursion and we had a great day! Disney cruises are amazing! I just booked our 2nd cruise.

Yay! Thanks everyone! We'd totally do virgin Gorda if the girls were older. Now I'm getting excited about staying on the ship and relaxing!
