Where to take my son to get his eyes checked
My son is 6. He was doing homework yesterday and his eyes kept getting wide, like he was trying to focus on the paper in front of him. When I asked him he said the words were moving around. I asked him if it did that when he looked at the smart board at school and he said no only when he is doing work on paper. Where do I take a 6 year old to get his eyes checked? A regular eye dr like sterling optical, which is where I go, or a is there a pediatric eye dr? We are in Lindenhurst if anyone has any recommendations in the area. TIA!

You definitely want an ophthalmologist, not a optometrist, like at Sterling. A lot of ophthalmologists won't see pediatric patients until they're a bit older (not sure the exact age), so I'd just start with a pediatric dr for sure.
We go to LI Pediatric Ophthalmology in Plainview for DS. I'd recommend it.

We see dr Michelle Leibert. She is in smithtown but just opened an office in deer park. I like that it goes under medical. Dd loves her. (631) 265-8780

Your pediatrician can do it if they have a spot vision screener in their office.

I just took 5 year old DS to Dr. Kodsi yesterday. She's in Great Neck.
