Forget the grind.... I am so very sick of....
...this frigging cloudy, misty, rainy, gloomy, depressing weather.
Will the sun ever shine again?
Originally today was supposed to be nice. I guess not.
Now I hear rain tomorrow too.
And chance of rain every day until Tuesday or some shit.
OMG it is just so depressing to see cloudy gloomy skies every single day.

I was in NOLA this past weekend. And came back Tuesday. Had a 2 hr delay because of the weather. We left beautiful sunny 80 degree weather. For this Completely changes your mood!

I was in NOLA this past weekend. And came back Tuesday. Had a 2 hr delay because of the weather. We left beautiful sunny 80 degree weather. For this Completely changes your mood!
I was in FL and we had 90+ days and all sun. I was delayed coming back Tuesday for 7 hrs.
But I always expect rain this time of year. April Showers!!!!!

We have been trying to cut our grass for a week now. Everytime we are home to do it, its soaked LOL

So cute.
And yes, the temps are fine.
But the gloom, the dark, it just doesn't help my mood

I can't believe I made it through the day without killing someone. My DS is 5 and I was so scared what it was going to be like but he was a trooper!!!
We were in Orlando airport and every flight to the NYC area was delayed and the JFK flights were severely delayed. A few margaritas helped.

I would've been horrible if I was stuck 7hrs in an airport!
It stinks because you never know you're delayed till you're AT the airport.
Being delayed wouldn't be so awful if you find out before getting there.
There were 8 of us on the trip and we were on the security line when we got a notice for 1 hr delay. 45 mins later we got the 2nd notice for a 2 hr delay. We said if it went to 3 we were going drinking
The gate next to ours said a flt going into LGA was on time. We were all wondering HOW? When they are the worst.
Turns out the never updated their board till about 30 mins before it was to take off. They too had a 2 hr delay.

It's still depressing when you don't see the sun for a week. April showers or not. Serotonin levels are actually surpressed by lack of sunlight so it makes sense. And guaranteed May won't be much better. I remember one May it rained constantly too.

We have had a few beautiful days. I mean it was hot on easter! I like the rain during the week. Don't have to water my lawn lol. It's supposed to be like this in April. We would have major issues if it wasn't.

This is my kind of weather. I loooove stretches of cloudy/rainy days. I get really irritated if I look at a 7- or 10- day forecast and see ONLY sun symbols.
I belong in Ireland or the Pacific Northwest.

But it doesn't change the fact that gloomy skies are depressing.
That is all I am saying.
Little cliches about April Showers bringing May Flowers and how we need the rain for our lawns doesn't change my mood when I wake up to gray skies every morning.
It's the reason Seattle has a high suicide rate. Lack of sunlight really wrecks havoc on people with depression/anxiety disorders and that is a fact.

I am on your side. Im grateful for the milder temps and not having to bundle up when i walk my dog and dont mind some rain/clouds but SUNNY days are what i prefer!

Same with Alaska. Along with a high rate of alcoholism. They sell those happy lights to help with that. Sometimes I think I should get one for winter.
