Dance classes?
What age do they normally start at? I think I started at 2.5 but that was a million years ago. Are they still the school year with a recital in June?

Dd1 started just over 2. Dd2 will start the same. It's school year with recital in may for us.

Thanks. I guess if its the school year the age would depend on the child's birthday so DD would have to wait until she was almost 3 for a 2 year old class unless I could find one to take her a little before 2.

My dd started before she turned 2. Her studio is in sayville and they let them start young.

Does anyone have a school in Nassau, south shore they can recommend? I wanted to start DD in a class this September but all the schools I can find start at 3yo or don't ever get back to me.

Not south shore, but MB Dancers in Farmingdale is doing a Saturday morning class starting in September for 2 year olds. Its a tap/ballet combo. My DD is registered for it!
