Signs at work

And I'm not talking about "signs" from the universe like the other thread!

I find lately, people are putting up a lot of signs around my office and it always makes me smirk a little.

Because if grown ass adults are taking your food from the fridge, leaving garbage and mess all over the ktichen, not flushing the toilet , do you really think a sign is going to stop it?

"Oh jeez, i never realized that eating Sally's Lean Cuisine was frowned upon! But now that I see this sign, printed on the laser jet in block letters with 12 exclamation points, I will never do that again! Thank God for that sign, or I'd never have known not to eat food that is not mine from the fridge !"

"Damn, I never realized that you need to FLUSH the toilet after dropping a deuce in the office bathroom! I am so glad someone printed a sign telling me exactly how to use a toilet and that the big handle on the side is to evacuate the contents!"

If people are acting like animals at this stage in their life, a SIGN sure as hell ain't gonna stop them!

My favorite is the one in the women's bathroom stalls at my office:

Please do not flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper. Use the trash receptacles provided"

There are no trash receptacles in any of the stalls.
Try changing a tampon with no place to throw your trash. Gross. Clearly someone didn't think this one through when they posted the sign...

I make funny signs all the time for work.

"This copier's name is Bob Marley because it's always jammin" (can't take credit for that - found it online)

Coffeemaker is out of order at the moment so I put a pic of Conan O'Brian crying into a cup of coffee under "out of order" on the sign

I also run the security cameras at work so if I put something in the fridge, I'll put a note on it saying that it's best to not steal from the person who watches the cameras It happened before!

We have a new crazy high-tech shredder and I had to type up the instructions to use it/what you can shred/what you can't...I used a pic of Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the sign.

Regardless of what it is, I don't even think people take time to even READ the sign! A friend of mine was pumping at work for about a year and I can't even count the number of times she told me she was walked in on, despite there being a very obvious sign that there's a pumping mom in progress and to please not enter. So, even if the sign was going to enlighten someone out there, it's irrelevant if they don't even bother to read it.

A new one went up in the ladies room.

Basically a sink got clogged because women wash their food containers in the bathroom instead of the kitchen.

The sign is so long winded detailing WHY the sink got clogged because of low water flow that doesn't flush the food particles down the drain, yadda yadda. I gave up reading it halfway thru.
