I like the overall costco experience better (company values, quick checkout lines, etc) but bjs carris more brands we use. I just always get pissed off at bjs for something or another, especially 2 checkout lanes open at crowded times and spacey employees. We have memberships at both.

BJS, they carry a lot more brands like the above poster said. At Costco I could never find anything that we typically buy. Like Life cereal and other specific things. I also like that BJ's takes coupons. I think Costco has better NON food items though

We go to BJS just because it is closer and less crowded but I feel like costco has more items that i like.

BJ's. They have more brands we like, LOVE their meat dept and produce and even when it's crowded the lines move quickly.

Costco or bjs?
BJ's because of the brands they carry.
Also have their credit card to use for gas. Gas is so much cheaper in Nassau/Suffolk than in Queens, and the extra 10 cents per gallon is so worth it.

All of this! Plus they have express lines so if you have only a few items you don't have to stand behind a person who is stocking up for the apocalypse.
And they have self check out- which I adore.
Costco does have better things like name brand clothes and shoes. I got a great pair of Khombu snow boots there for $40 and they sometimes have Hunter rain boots.
But it's not enough to make me shop there on the regular.

We love Costco. They carry a ton of brands that we use and their own Kirklands brand is very good too.

LOVE self check out lines. I use them constantly, especially at Stop and Shop and Target. Best thing ever invented!!

BJ's because you can double the coupons use the one from the book mailed and print from their site, we save a lot.

Kirkland Brand is great! Its the only diapers/wipes DS can use without getting diaper rash

Costco! It is closer, but definitely like it more than BJ's. They're Kirkland brand is great. Even though my kids are older I still get the wipes bc we use it for cleaning stuff like the couch, wipe the dogs paws, even on my wood table.
Love their organic section and food selection.

We have bjs and are going to go with Costco too. They are about 10 minutes apart and we split bjs with a friend.
