The giraffe is FINALLY giving birth!
I feel like it's been months! 2 hooves are out this morning. It's sad how I have been watching it for 20 min already but it's fascinating!
The live stream on the amimal.adventure park website has closer up video than tbe other feeds.

The giraffe is FINALLY giving birth!
Been checking on and off for 2 hours already and it's progressed about 3 inches. Going to be a long wait maybe. At least she is kind enough to deliver on a Saturday.

I started watching around 8am and I put my phone down for literally a minute to get a bowl of cereal and the baby was born in that minute!

I think it's just a nice break from all the shit going on in the world.
You can see stuff like this in nature programming all the time, but watching it in real time with millions of other people is cool.
Plus BABY GIRAFFE squeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I think the hype started bc it was first shared as if it was going to give birth at any minute. I watched a bit, thought maybe it was having contractions bc it wouldn't move for a few seconds every few minutes but I lost interest. People I know were watching it all the time and it did become comical how long it went on. I watched today and it was neat to see and my 5yo enjoyed watching too.
I will say, a few days ago on IG national geographic had pics of a monkey giving birth in the wild and they were amazing. Just a few stills but to me to see it captured in the wild is so much cooler.

I haven't really seen an animal give birth before, especially a giraffe, and to me it was fascinating to watch. Just amazing what a miracle nature is.
Plus I think giraffes are such beautiful animals and the baby....omg sooooo cute!
