2 attacks happened yesterday...
There were 2 terrorist attacks yesterday. I am surprised it hasn't been mentioned.
The 1st one in Russia. A Suicide bomber on a train. Video and pictures are horrible.
The second one in Syria. A chemical attack that killed many children. After seeing the pictures of the children I am quite sick and broke down.
Many prayers for everyone over seas.
It doesn't matter what country it happened in. No one deserves to die. I will keep the families who lost lives yesterday of both Russia and Syria in my thoughts and prayers.
Here are the links to the 2 attacks.
Russia Attack
Syria Chemical attack
Many prayers for all lost.

I heard about the Russian attack, but I heard nothing about the Syrian attack. Those poor people.

I think the Syrian attack was this morning. It was on the bees this morning at least.
So sad, especially for the children. Not to mention all the children being affected by famine right now it's just unimaginable.

I really should not have looked at the pictures of the children. I clicked it and immediately regretted it. I have cried over 20 minutes and can not get their poor lifeless bodies out of my head. They even had looks of terror on their little faces.

Russian attack was most likely orchestrated by Putin as payback for recent protests. He has done it before.
Syrian chemical attack done by leader Assad, whom our Sec. of State and current administration think should be left in power.
It's all disgusting.

I saw it on the news as well, and I literally only watch like 15 min of tv a day.

I did see both on the nightly news, and all over my fb news feed.
It is a sad scary world we live in. It's almost like we're "another day, another terrorist/war attack".

I follow the news very carefully on Syria. I watch Assad's interviews because I absolutely cannot believe how he can remain so cool about things and deny that he is doing these attacks by blaming them on "terrorists."
To be fair, Syria is one place I wish Obama had paid more attention to. I am still a bit angry Obama never went in there. But it is also such a complicated war with a few different sides. Obama sided with the rebels and the Kurds, but siding with the rebels was kind of questionable, IMO.
The situation is so far out of control that I don't even know if it can be solved. I, of course, do not think Assad should be in control. He wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place. He's a freaking eye doctor. His father was pretty bad, too. This family should have been taken out a long time ago.
It just seems like such a hopeless situation. It probably won't end anytime soon, unfortunately. I don't think anyone has any answers to this situation. We just look on in horror. The country, which is already in ruins, will be ruined even further and all the people will be gone or dead by the end of it. I can't see any other solution.
It's what humans do, repeatedly.
And sorry for that cheery Wednesday morning message.
If you are interested in Syria like I am, Frontline did a really good documentary two years ago. You should check it out.

I know it's an extremely complicated situation. But how can we sit back and not do anything? He is gassing his own people!! Children for god's sakes!! What will history say about us?

I completely agree with you. He's gassing his own people, he's purposely bombing hospitals, and a long list of other things. Then he blames it on "terrorists." I use that in quotes because yes, ISIL/ISIS/Deash is doing things, but he is also calling anyone against him terrorists. Meanwhile, he's doing it and Russia is helping him out. Putin really wants that port in Syria, amongst other things.
As to why the world is ignoring Syria, the only reason I can think of is how things are changing around the world politically (right-wing populism).
I think it's also too far gone at this point. Anyone that goes in there to do something will have big problems. I don't agree with just leaving them there, though.
I don't know what the answer is. Well, I do, but it's too simplistic.

I know I feel the same way! The 1st time it happened I thought Obama would have done something..but nothing happened..Now with Trump it looks like the same thing! I am outraged! Those poor people. This is not acceptable!! I would totally support our Military to take Assad out!

I really can't get over that poor man who lost his 9 month old twins wife and dozens of his family. Those poor innocent babies. Makes me sick.
