If you saw the new Beauty and the Beast movie
My 5 year old wants to see it but I'm worried some parts might be too scary for her.
What are your Thoughts? OK for 5 year old?

My DD is 5 and she wasn't scared. I really didn't think it was scary at all.

Depends on the 5 year old. The wolves were a bit scary and there was a kid about 7 behind us who started hysterically crying during that part.

My 4 year old loved it. She is so obsessed were going again this weekend! Some of it was a bit scary but not so scary she couldn't handle it.

It depends on the kid. I saw it alone while my husband and daughter went skiing. I'm glad I didn't bring my kid because she would have been scared. She is 8 years old.

My 4 year old loved it and she was fine. My almost 3 year old was a little scared. I honestly think it depends on the child and not the age

My 6yo wasn't scared but she doesn't scare easily. My 9yo is afraid of his own shadow and he was fine  I think if they have seen the Disney movie and know how it turns out it helps.

Seems like I'm I'm in the minority, but I saw it and would not bring my 4 year old (nor would I if she was 5). The beast wasn't too bad but the wolves were scary, gaston does some disturbing things, and there's a lot of backstory that's very heavy for a young child. Plus, it's a full 2 hours. I opted to see it first w/o dd, and then decide. My decision was not to take her, but I'd recommend seeing it first if you're not sure.

The 2 hour thing is killing me. I can barely sit for a 2 hour movie, no way will DD not be fidgeting and bitchingg and asking when it will ve over .
I may skip this one.

My girls went yesterday. My 3.5 year old loved it. She is a huge Disney fanatic and knows beauty and the beast inside and out. She asked me questions the whole time and was maybe startled when it got loud and points but has told me it is better than the fake beauty and the beast (animated) and even better than the live action Cinderella.
