Mold in binkys?
My son uses the Mam brand binkys. Is it common to see dark spots everywhere which I am assuming the only possibility is that it's mold? Not in the part they suck but the inside of the plastic knob you hold? He is only 11m and the 1 is definitely one I bought when he was an infant but the other is only like 6 months old. Not sure if I should contact them or not.

I would contact them and most importantly toss them and switch brands. This seems to be a common problem with them

Re: Mold in binkys?
Is is in an area that would be cleaned if you ran them through the dishwasher or boiled them? Or is it somewhere where you can't get it out?

Mold in binkys?
You def cant reach it, it inside the knob you hold so unless you took it apart there really should not be water getting in there

This is why I like the Avent soothies! DD liked the mam ones at first but I noticed water getting trapped in there and decided to make the switch. Now she uses the WubbaNubs with Avent soothies attached and there's no possible way water can get trapped in there.

Re: Mold in binkys?
I think they recommend replacing them every 2 months.

Re: Mold in binkys?
I've never seen that happen with those. DD used to use them all the time when she was younger. The plastic case they come is supposed to be used to sanitize them. I'd nuke them in the microwave once a day to sanitize them.

Mold in binkys?
I contacted Mam, they basically said because of the ventilation system it is common for water or saliva to get trapped and they recommend replacing every 1-2months. Im switching brands lol
