Can you return Macy's without a credit card?
Hi all - I tried finding the answer to this online but had no luck, so I figured I'd try here. Does anyone know if you can return things bought online at Macy's to the store, with the packing slip/receipt, but without the credit card used?
I bought a bunch of maternity stuff from Macy's online (using my visa) but didn't realize how inconsistent maternity sizing is (at least for me) so have a lot of stuff to return. My mom offered to get the things next time she comes into the city and take care of it for me, since she can just throw it in the car and drive to a store on LI and save me and my belly shlepping to one of the stores in the city, but I can't give her my credit card to use because of course I need it.
Does anyone know if that would be doable? Subway stairs are my current nemesis so any additional subway trips I could avoid would be lovely.

Can you return Macy's without a credit card?
You can - they may just give you a gift card though.

You can do free online returns. They process very quickly.

With free return shipping? I thought you had to pay your own shipping.

Nope. Free return shipping. Very easy and they track the return well until it is credited.

Whaaaaaat??!! Game changer. That makes it so much easier, because I can give my mom the packages just to drop off at the post office for me!

I think UPS, I'm not sure you have a choice of carriers. But very easy to do an online return.

Maternity is a different animal though. My mom bought me some stuff that needed to be returned and they only allow exchanges.

Yup, i was just going to say this.. it's been a few years since i bought maternity clothes at Macy's but i remember being really annoyed at them that they only do exchanges for maternity clothing. I'm guessing that's to avoid people wearing it for a few months and then trying to return..
Not sure about online purchases, but keep that in mind. The return policy for the maternity items should be printed on the packing slip for you to reivew

Hmm... when I look online at maternity items under the "shipping and returns" it doesn't say exchange only. Hopefully there won't be a problem!

You can return online orders at the store with just a packing slip.
My mom does it for me all the time.
