Anyones child experience this after the flu? Sounds like to a T what my son is telling me about why he can not walk bc his calves hurt so bad and he just had the flu this week. Trying not to freak out but not a great day to go to the Dr

My son had something like that, woke up one day and couldn't walk at all. His calves hurt him SO bad. He had a viral myalgia as per the doctor (which basically means viral muscle pain), but I had to look up what Myositis was, and it sounds like what he had. It went away in a a couple of days. Hope he feels better!

My dd gets severe leg pain whenever she has any sort of virus. I've read that it's common in kids.

Thanks for the replies, by that night he would atleast work a bit. Hunched over but atleast he wasn't crawling. By the next day he was fine thankfully.
