My DD has 2 great grandmas and 1 great grandpa.

My kids have 2...my dad's mom is 90, and my DH's grandma is 91.

My grandfather that's it and he lives in FL, poor thing doesn't even have any of his 4 grandparents.

Just one. My husbands grandmother
I never had a grandmother and my only grandfather passed away when I was 10
Always wanted a grandma. They seem cool
Sounds like my son, since he was two he's been asking for grandparents and it breaks my heart. My aunts and uncle step in for him

My kids have 2 - dh's grandma and grandpa on his mom's side. And until very recently they also had a step-greatgrandfather.

My kids had one. My grandmother, but she passed last week at 87. So now they have none.

My hubby's grandmother hasn't seen him since he left the country when he was 3. Now his Uncle who cared for her is ill and most likely will pass. No one can care for her so his mother is going back to see her and try to figure out arrangements.
I wonder if I can get my butt in gear and send AJ with her so that she can meet her Great Grandmother. That would mean getting her a passport super quick as they are going in April. She'd be traveling with her Grandmother and Aunt (hubby's sister). Sadly my hubby can't go (green card, America, British, Hong Kong, blah blah). Only issue is I took her out for 5 days for Disney and I think the school would have a coronary if I took her out again. But what a unique opportunity! To see China, to visit your Great Grandmother! I mean really!
So it had me thinking.
I mean I knew my Great Grandmother on my father's side. She was 103 when she passed. I was a teenager or older. Grandpa was born when she was 14. She was pregnant at 13. So she was very young and able to be around a long time. Spit fire of a woman. I didn't speak her language but man you certainly didn't need to, to know the fire in that woman's blood.
Sounds like an amazing opportunity for AJ. I would definitely send her.
My kids have 2 great grandparents around still. In their lives they have known 5 great grandparents. In the past year 2 of my grandmothers passed both of which my girls were close with. It was a rough year for us.

DS has three, all on my side. He had 4 but my maternal grandfather passed away when DS was 4 months old. My maternal grandmother is 81 and sees him all the time. My paternal grandparents are 86 and 88 but they live in Florida and haven't met him yet.

DS had 3 up until 2 years ago. My grandma died in 2015, then my grandfather died in 2016. I have one grandmother left who is very involved with my kids. I'm so grateful that they were able to meet my boys.

None left. Dd's last one passed away about 2 years ago when she just turned 4. I don't know if she'll remember her but I try to keep the memory alive.

None - they just lost their last one, my grandfather, last year. My two grandfathers did get to meet both of my sons though.

Mine have one Great Grandma left (my dad's mom). The other one (my mom's mom) passed away last Summer. My kids were both fortunate enough to spend time with their Great, Great, Grandpa before he passed away when my daughter was a few months old. I think he was hanging on to see her. He died a few days after we went to visit him. We have a picture with all 5 generations that I display
