2s Program
DS goes 5 days a week 9 to 12. I rarely send him all five days but the price difference between 3 and 5 was barely anything so I like having the flexibility to send him whenever I want rather than committing to 3 predetermined days.
It's a toddler program 18 months to 2 years old. It's mostly play based. Circle time, arts and crafts, playground, gym, snack time etc. They are starting ABCs and a letter of the week now.
The only drawback is he's constantly sick (colds, cough, etc.)! But that's what's expected when they start any kind of program.

I'm not. She's my 3rd. I don't think it's necessary and it never helped me (I would be paying a babysitter plus class when working).

2s Program
when my DS was 2, he did a program just like that.. 3 mornings a week from 9-11:30. he's an only child and i was staying home with him, so i wanted him to have the time with other kids. it was mostly just playing, they did some crafts, "circle time" to talk about weather, calendar, letters, numbers, that kind of stuff. his school was a co-op, so the parents all took turns being the teacher's assistant like once a month, sending in snacks, that kind of stuff. i liked that bc i got to know a lot of the other kids and moms pretty well, set up some playdates and that kind of stuff

DS is in a 2 yr old program now. He goes 2 days a week for 2 hrs. Next year he will be doing 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hrs. He loves it and has learned so much and became so much more social. As a teacher myself I find it very important to submerge them early on in social situations

Same, she's my 4th. I fell for the trap of pushing them into school for my first 2. It's not worth it when they have so many years of school ahead of them.

I felt the same. At that age we did mommy and me art and music classes, and he went to soccer with my husband. We actually still go to music (Music Togerher) at 3 because we both enjoy it so much, though he's also in preschool now 3 days a week.

Re: 2s Program
My first did two days from 9-12:30p. My second will do three days a week for the same hours.
It's not necessary but it's a nice break for parents and in my case, grandparents, since they watch my kids. I think it's also great for the kids. Downside is that it gets $$ quickly.

2s Program
My DD does 2 days a week 9-11:30. I had no intention of doing it but I work PT and it worked out that we had a gap in child care in the am so we put her in a 2s program two days a week to cover the gap. She loves it!

Re: 2s Program
I just signed up my dd for a twos program for September, she will go two days a week from 9-12.
I also sent my other 2 dc at that age. Although it isn't necessary I liked that she got to socialize with other kids her age, it was structured, that I get a little break and that I also get to meet some families that have dc my daughters age in my town.
