How has morning rush hour been?
On LI right now, heading home to Maryland tomorrow. Usually, if we leave on a weekday we're leaving by 5:00am the latest to make sure we don't get stuck in morning rush hour (Southern State, Beltway, Staten Island traffic, etc.) but are most people off this week? Does the schools being out mean traffic is automatically lighter?
JUst looked at Google maps and it's green the whole route at 6:45, has it been this way all week?

How has morning rush hour been?
We left LI yesterday at 10 and there was no traffic. We were going north though.

It's dead this week. It usually takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to get into Queens, I got into Queens in 25 minutes- door to door.

Morning rush hour has been excellent this week (so far)! Its quite wonderful with no cars on the road.
I can't speak for the Belt; but the SS is pretty light.

Yesterday I left Ronkonkoma at 9:30am and got into the city AND parked on the upper east side by 10:40am. Took the LIE
That's a record!

Anytime schools are closed the there is hardly any traffic. It's wonderful lol

DH works in NYC, been getting to work just over 1 hr vs. 2 or 3 when school is open
